Challenge

Safetynet was delivering essential frontline healthcare, but its brand, website, and fundraising systems had not kept pace with the organisation’s impact. The result was a dated public presence that risked underselling the quality of care being delivered every day.

Research & Discovery

We benchmarked 20 global maternity hospitals and applied WCAG 2.2, NHS patterns, and UX best practice. Internally, we consulted 50+ departments, service leads & consultants. The result: a system that eased pressure on staff, improved clarity, reduced confusion, and helped users reach care faster.

Brand System

We created a modern healthcare identity designed to feel welcoming, visible, and human. Inspired by themes of connection, mobility, and inclusion, the brand system unified Safetynet’s website, fundraising campaigns, outreach materials, clinics, and community communications under one recognisable visual language.

Art Direction

We developed a people-first visual language that captured Safetynet's clinicians, outreach teams, mobile healthcare units, and service users in real-world settings. The photography reinforced the organisation's commitment to accessible healthcare while bringing warmth, credibility, and consistency to the brand.

Responsive Design

Safetynet serves people from a wide range of backgrounds, circumstances, and language groups. The website was designed mobile-first with multilingual functionality, clear navigation, and accessible user journeys that help users access healthcare information, support services, and donation pathways quickly, regardless of device, literacy level, or digital confidence.

Outcomes

"UBC is professional, skilled, flexible, and incredibly easy to work with. They captured the essence of who we are and delivered outstanding assets that elevate how we present ourselves. We’re now ahead in our sector, thanks to UBC. As an NGO, we also gratefully acknowledge the Teach Ruadh Foundation."
