From brand zero to brand hero - building a bold, shelf-ready FMCG identity
At a glance
Client: Wolfhound Nicotine Pouches
Industry: FMCG / Consumer Products
Services:
-
Take Wolfhound from a name and early-stage nicotine pouch concept for a North American company targeting UK and European markets, and build a distinctive, market-ready FMCG brand across packaging, retail, digital and sales — ready for commercial launch.
-
Using UBC’s Full Digital Growth Solutions approach and UBC Growth Sprint™ methodology, we combined new product development with restricted-category marketing experience to build Wolfhound from strategy through execution — brand identity, six-SKU packaging, social and POS assets, eCommerce concepts and retailer, sales and investor materials.
-
Wolfhound emerged with a complete go-to-market platform: brand strategy and identity, six-SKU packaging, product sheets, POS and promotional assets, a social media campaign, PR communications kit, UX/UI and eCommerce concepts, competitor and keyword research, plus retailer, sales and investor decks.
Challenge
A startup brand was entering a category dominated by billion-dollar incumbents. Wolfhound needed to look credible, move fast and create disproportionate impact across shelf, digital and sales channels.
Research & Discovery
UBC built a full category intelligence base around Wolfhound: 11-brand competitor benchmarking, social and digital analysis, SEO and keyword research, packaging and shopper cues, consumer behaviour, technology-stack reviews and route-to-market planning — all feeding directly into brand and launch decisions.
Brand System
UBC stripped the identity back to its strongest assets — the Wolfhound, the wordmark and a clean master-brand palette — then used bold, flavour-led colour to give each of the six SKUs its own personality and shelf impact. The result is a highly recognisable FMCG system: simple in structure, loud in colour and consistent across packaging, digital and sales.
New Product Development
New Product Development turned Wolfhound into a coherent six-SKU range. UBC created a consistent packaging architecture across Spearmint, Cola, Apple Cider, Blackcurrant, Coffee and Orange, using distinctive flavour colours, bilingual Irish-English naming and clear product cues to give every SKU personality while keeping the master brand immediately recognisable.
Visual Storytelling
This was where Wolfhound became a launch-ready consumer brand. Across six new products, UBC brought together the identity, packaging, flavour cues, tone of voice, PR messaging and social media campaign content into one bold visual system — colourful, playful and highly recognisable, but disciplined enough to stay consistent across every SKU.
Pitch, Sales & Investor Deck
UBC developed a dedicated sales and investor deck to help Wolfhound present the opportunity with greater clarity, confidence and commercial credibility. Drawing on our experience shaping investor-facing growth narratives, we restructured the deck around the market opportunity, competitive position, six-product range and revenue potential — creating a sharper, more persuasive tool for funding, distributor and retail conversations.
“All of the work you and the team have completed to date has been superb and we are extremely satisfied with the product. We really appreciate the thought and creativity that went into the logo concepts you created. It was great to see your vision for our brand”
